Having left that battery in appeared to short my Magsafe charger. I purchased a new battery but was for another Mac model, was still was not working with out Magsafe charger. ![]() This shorted my battery showing X on the battery icon. Some key were not working so I decided to pull the battery connector while under load (while powered on). Long story short, changed my keyboard with a poor quality one. I had issues which lead to the final issue of slow charging. I noticed the post is a year old but this might help others.
